1. What we collect
- Order info: your name, email, phone number, and family name (for your title card).
- Payment: processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your footage: the photos and videos you upload through your private link.
- Site basics: standard analytics like pages visited and device type, used to make the site work and measure our ads.
2. How we use it
- To edit and deliver your movie, send your shot list, upload link, filming reminders, and delivery emails and texts.
- To provide support and your included revision.
- To tell you about closely related offerings (like the Thanksgiving Edition). Unsubscribe anytime with one click.
3. Your footage and your family
- Footage is stored in access-controlled cloud storage. Upload links are private, per order, and receive-only, so no one else can view your files through your link.
- Access is limited to the editing team working on your order, under confidentiality obligations.
- Footage and project files are deleted from our systems within 14 days of delivery.
- We never post, share, or feature your footage or finished movie unless you checked the feature opt-in at checkout. No opt-in, no exceptions.
4. Children
Our service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Footage you upload may include your children; you upload it as their parent or legal guardian and consent to it being edited and delivered back to you. The 14-day deletion and no-feature-without-opt-in rules above exist first and foremost for them.
5. Who we share with
- Service providers only: our payment processor (Stripe), cloud storage provider, customer platform, and contracted editors, each only to the extent needed to deliver your order.
- We never sell your personal information. We do not share your footage with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone outside order fulfillment.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Text messages
If you provide your phone number, we send transactional texts about your order: confirmation, your upload link, filming reminders, and delivery. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out anytime, and we will use email for required order communication instead. Consent to texts is never a condition of purchase.
7. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with one click, anytime.
- Request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. We will confirm and complete verified requests, including early deletion of your footage.
- California residents: you have the rights described above under California law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
8. Security
We use access controls, two-factor authentication on storage accounts, private receive-only upload links, and least-access sharing with our editing team. No internet service can promise perfect security, which is one more reason we delete your footage within 14 days.
9. Retention
Footage: 14 days after delivery. Order and contact records: kept as needed for support, accounting, and legal requirements. Marketing contact info: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the current version. Questions or requests: reply to any order email or write to [email protected]. A human answers.
